Her organization plays a vital leadership role in facilitating government-wide reform and promoting best practices to improve the efficiency of government’s management processes.

Ms.Turco was the recipient of a 2006 Presidential Rank Award as a meritorious executive and the 2008 Donald L. Scantlebury Memorial Award for Distinguished Leadership in Financial Management Improvement.

Laura Auletta Laura Auletta

Director, Government-wide Acquisition Policy, GSA OGP

As the newly appointed Director for Governmentwide Acquisition Policy at the General Services Administration (GSA) and Chair of the Civilian Agency Acquisition Council (CAAC), Laura Auletta leads the civilian agencies in developing the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The FAR governs more than $500 billion in annual procurement spending or one-sixth of the federal budget. Previously, Ms. Auletta worked at the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) where she was responsible for competition, intellectual property, and supply chain policy. She was also the OFPP lead for the OMB implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Before joining OFPP, she was the Executive Director for the Acquisition Advisory Panel established by Section 1423 of the Services Acquisition Reform Act (SARA) of 2003 and the Contract Policy Director at GSA.

Jan Dobbs Jan Dobbs

Deputy Associate Administrator, Asset and Transportation Management,GSA OGP

Ms. Dobbs is the Director of the Office of Travel, Transportation and Asset Management, Office of Government-wide Policy, and oversees the development and implementation of government-wide policy and guidance for several major administrative management areas of the Federal government: aviation, motor vehicles, real property, personal property, mail, relocation, transportation and travel. These programs achieve best value by defining policies that align business strategies and objectives that promote sustainability and operational efficiencies and effectiveness for government-wide programs that exceed $1.7 trillion dollars.

Virginia Huth Virginia Huth

Director, Office of General Services Acquisition Policy, Integrity, and Workforce, GSA OGP

Ms. Huth joined GSA as Director of the Office of General Services Acquisition Policy, Integrity and Workforce in December 2011. She previously served as Director of Contracting at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where she held several executive positions since 2005. She has held senior positions at the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement at the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of Management and Budget as well as with IBM Global Services, where she provided management consulting services to the federal sector.

Angela Smith Angela Smith

Director, Office of Technology Strategy at Office of Government-wide Policy, GSA OGP

Ms. Smith serves as the Acting Deputy Associate Administrator, Office of Information, Integrity, and Access, OGP, GSA.

She is responsible for delivering government-wide policies, guidance, and support for a portfolio of programs that includes identity, credentials, and access management; dot gov domain management; information and data assets management; electronics and information technology accessibility; integrated acquisition environment program management; internal OGP IT portfolio management, as well operations and management of numerous government-wide focused websites such as USASpending.gov, idmanagement.gov, and acquisition.gov.

Kathleen Turco Kathleen Turco

Associate Administrator of the Office of Government-wide Policy, GSA OGP

Ms. Turco was selected as the Associate Administrator for Government-wide Policy (OGP) for the General Services Administration on May 3, 2010. Under her leadership, OGP is fostering increased transparency and simplification of government policy making and improvements in public access to policy information. She oversees the development of administrative policies for the federal government and GSA internal operations including: federal acquisition policy and the Federal Acquisition Institute; federal asset management policy, utilization and disposal; federal high-performance green buildings; and federal information management and use. Additionally, OGP provides critical leadership and support on meeting Administration priorities -- including GSA’s sustainability goals, achieving improved customer intimacy, innovation, and operational excellence.

Previously, Turco served as the agency's Chief Financial Officer, ensuring compliance with financial policies governing the $17 billion in financial activity for federal buildings, acquisition management, citizen services, and government-wide policy.

Francis Rose Francis Rose

Host of “In Depth with Francis Rose,” 1500 AM Federal News Radio (Moderator)

Francis Rose, host of “In Depth with Francis Rose,” joined Federal News Radio in 2006 as the producer and news anchor of the station’s morning drive program.

He has a broad range of experience, having covered all three branches of the Federal government as a broadcast journalist since 1998. As the host of “In Depth,” Francis has created several high-profile series including “The Federal Drive News Countdown.” This is a live weekly recap of the most important news stories chosen by members of the Federal community.

Francis’ 25-year broadcast career includes positions with ABC Radio, CBS Radio and Westwood One. Before joining Federal News Radio, he covered the executive and legislative branches of government as a host and anchor on C-SPAN Radio. While at the network, he hosted the weekly "Supreme Court Oral Argument" and produced and hosted countless long-form historical programs, including an acclaimed retrospective on the 50th anniversary of the Army-McCarthy hearings.

Francis enjoys and maintains involvement in the Federal community as a host of panel discussions and live broadcasts from events throughout the Washington area such as FOSE. He studied English at York College of Pennsylvania and Towson University. Francis lives in Maryland with his wife and son.
